The Troxel Ranch is located in the heart of Nebraska 10 miles east of Broken Bow on Hwy 70. This place has been in the family for three generations and we moved here in 1994.
In addition to the horse and cattle operation I own and operate Troxel Insurance Agency located in Broken Bow and my wife Carolyn teaches English in the Broken Bow Middle School. Carolyn and I have two children Sam, and Sidney who attend Broken Bow High School. They are involved in sports, 4-H, FFA, and Rodeo.
Our cattle and horses are bred to get along on their own. They are expected to have a lot of common sense, a good disposition, and carry their own weight. In the cow herd we use Red and Black Angus bulls. We believe in low inputs and profitability and look for genetics that promote these traits.
In our horses we breed for disposition, athletic ability, speed,
conformation, and intelligence. Most of our horses are closely related and carry Leo, Doc Bar, Begger Toots, Dusters Revenue, Zippo Pat Bars, and Sir Quincy Dan blood. We aren't trading horses but have horses available for sale. If you are interested in a saddle horse with a lot of cow sense, a show horse, or a rodeo horse, give us a call. We may have what you need.
