Horses for Sale
This is a 5yr old gelding that Sam will be selling on the Central NE Ranch & Production Sale on Sep 18th, 2011.  He will be lot #73.  He has a super disposition and has been a pleasure to raise and break.  He isn't quite 15 hands tall and is easy to ride and be around.  They have started roping on him tracking calves and roping the dummy.  He tracks like he has radar, very willing and really fast.   He will go on and work fine whatever you want to do with him.  He is a good looker.  He will be the kind of horse that you can turn out for a few months and go right back to work on.  He moves good and watches cattle well.  SOLD... $3450
6yr OLD GELDING...  This is Sidney's breakaway rope horse.  He has really been working well for her.  He is great in the box, understands the barrier, and really runs to a calf.  He stops hard and flat.  He could go on to the tie down arena any time.  He is just over 14.2 hands tall and pretty stout.  Sir Quincy Dan, Three Bars, and Top Deck are in his blood lines.  He is just a pretty nice horse.  He might need to be warmed up a little if he has been turned out but Sidney lopes a couple circles and drops him in the box when she practices.  He is fast and strong enough to be a great ranch horse or arena horse.  At 6yrs old, he is just ready to go on.  He will be selling on Sep 18th at the Central NE Ranch & Production Sale. SOLD...$2150...
Eight and nine year old full brothers, home raised out of a granddaughter of Zippo Pat Bars and a Percheron stud that we imported out of Canada. They stand just under 17h tall and weigh something just less than #1500 each. They have been used to check pastures and fix fence and have been on several trail rides. I took them in the county parade two years ago and got along real well in town. They crossed the RR tracks and didn't worry about the traffic. They handle great. They don't pull on your arms and move well. They back fine and swing the tongue perfectly. I would prefer that they go to an experienced teamster. They are a pleasure to drive, they cross the tongue to hitch and stand OK  They have never indicated to me that they would run, but they just aren't seasoned up enough to be called dead broke. I have a bale unroller on a wagon gear that I used to feed with. Sixty days of feeding and money couldn't buy them, they just aren't getting used enough now. ..........$3500.........
Sandy is a 7yr old gelding out of Brinx Bar Sprat.  He was raised on the Sherman Ranch south of Valentine.  Sam broke this horse and Sidney took over when she wanted a barrel horse.   She has been working with him for the last three years and he is seasoning up real well.  She runs barrels, poles, and ties goats on him. She has brought him along on the barrels and poles pretty slow and he is ready to be pushed now.  He really rates well and knows his patterns.  He is extra calm in the arena.  Anyone who can ride can get along with him.  Never bucked, and no bad habits.  In the pasture he has a real good walk and covers ground well.  I haven't measured him but he is a short 15 hands and won't weigh over #1100.  He has been used in junior rodeos, High school rodeos, and run in 4D shows.  Currently he is in the standings for the state finals in goat tying and pole bending......$12500.......SOLD

This is a grade 6yr old mare out of Brinx Bar Sprat and one of our mares, Zipper Tate, a granddaughter of Zippo Pat Bars and Thirsty Begger.  Sam started her as a 2yr old and Sidney is starting her on poles and barrels.  These Thirsty Begger horses are very strong and fast.  She will be a runner by fall...$850....SOLD...

6yr old Red Roan gelding, 15.2 hnds. He is big, strong, fast and smart. he came down from the ranch as a 2yr old and Sidney started him that fall. He has never been hurt and he has never been outrun. Sid has been hauling to rodeos the last two years breakaway roping on him. He is perfect in the box and handles the barrier just right. He has roped a few steers on either end.  He has a hard stop and handles good.  He will load in anything and hauls good.  I dont' know if he is really a kids horse, although Sid has been riding him since she was 12. He is gentle, but he runs and stops awful hard. If he has been turned out for a couple weeks, he will need warmed up a little...
She is taking him to Valentine Oct 3rd to sell..
   ...she is wanting $2500.SOLD...$2650
